Since the Pandemic is really hard on me and since I am very marginalized for funding. Meaning, my art form is extremely niche and being such an under-represented individual, that it has been more than painful to apply for any funding, or even CRB support from the CRA because of my non sensical income sources. The volatility of it all stresses me out so completely.

Without the means to busk and perform live, I must rely on producing these tracks for sale online to provide myself with groceries, rent and phone data bills.

INSPIRATION:

Dance, specifically I've always been intrigued by Gamelan music and dance. Always loved beats and textures.

INTENTIONS:

Repetition is difficult for me, it causes me anxiety so if I use loops, it has to really make me feel something more than just to produce a groove. I'm a free will, free form, intuitive improviser, I compose on the spot and I get stressed out to use my memory to memorize things. I rather be an open vessel to the world around me and especially within me, to create from as opposed to trying to make it sound likeable or become popular.

I want to allow the audience to be themselves as they journey with me through the sounds, I don't want you to have any preparation in receiving my music. Like how fans prepare to go out to see their favourite bands prepare.

I don't want to be boxed in by the industry on what sounds good or what deserves more followers, I couldn't care less. If my music and my life sustains, it is because individuals want me to live my art sustainably rather than just drop dead.

Art is alive in me, even if the arts are dying, I am still always here playing and making new music in every single moment.

So you decide, support a dying scene / sector, which struggles to represent and support every single artist / creator. Or, support every single creator so that the scene / sector may thrive? Think hard.
